Charles Michael “Mike” Duncan passed away peacefully on August 23, 2021, with his daughters Michelle and Angela by his side. Mike was born August 15, 1959 to Betty Joyce Gross (Early) and Charles Henderson Duncan and was raised in Memphis, Tennessee with his younger sister Kendra.
Mike graduated from Craigmont High School and then went on to be an Avionics Technician in the U.S. Navy. He was a “tech genius,” able to fix any gadget that he came across. He also enjoyed building electronics, such as computers, from the ground up. He later found a passion for graphic and web design. In the eyes of his girls he was a genius in general, always reading and researching, ever expanding his knowledge and expertise.
Mike had a great love for music, especially jazz and percussion. The job he loved most was when he was working for Johnny Rabb Drumsticks in Toone, Tennessee. He looked forward to the commute to work, with the windows rolled down and the music up in his beloved 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse.
Mike was a man of faith, a lover of Jesus, always trusting in God’s word when times were good or difficult.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, his step father Hubert Gross, and his daughter Rebecca Allison Duncan.
He is survived by his sister Kendra Bolland (Tim Williams); his four children: Brandon, Jamie, Michelle, and Angela; his grandchildren: Tyler, Jack, James (JW), Layla, Luke, and Lennox.
