Cynthia Diane Helms unexpectedly passed away at Quince Rehab and Nursing Home in the early morning hours on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother known for her spunky personality and undeniably unique sense of style. Cindy loved music and was a self-described “super multitalented” singer, song writer, and musician. She brought joy to every one in her life with her infectious spirit and great sense of humor. She was a favorite resident at both Quince Rehab where she was known for keeping the staff on their toes and Signature Rehab where the staff affectionately nicknamed her “Loretta Lynn.”
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Aaron and Lillian Davis, her father, Thomas Nelson, and her brother, Thomas Nelson Jr.
She is survived by her 2 daughters Ashleigh and Melody, her mother, Elizabeth, her grandchildren Danna, Jonathan, and Jordan, her 3 great grandchildren Raelyn, Ryan, and Nolan, and her grand-dogs Dixie and Lucy.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. Memphis, Tn. 38122 at 12:30 pm on Saturday July 20th 2019 with funeral services to follow at 2:00 pm. There will be a private burial at Memphis Memory Gardens for the family following the service.
