Darrel was born September 20, 1946. Darrel was born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on September 20, 1946 to the late Elmore and Leeta Easter. He passed away on Saturday March 19, 2022 at the age of 75 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Darrel graduated from Norwalk High School in Connecticut with high honors. After graduating high school he voluntarily joined the United States Army, where he served for close to 3 years in Vietnam War and returned as a sergeant with numerous medals, ribbons, and commendations. He graduated from University of Connecticut with a dual degree in Organic and Inorganic Chemistry. After working for many years he retired in December 2019 from the Corpus Christi Army depot in Texas.
Darrel is survived by his wife Leah and daughter Krystle, his brother Bryce and family in Maine, and his sister Gayl in Colorado.
A memorial service for Darrel will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 at 2:30 PM at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125.
