Don Powell

Don Powell, 62, loving husband and father, quietly went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 13th, 2013. Don is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna; his sons, Ronnie Smith of Billings, MT, Matthew Powell (Jennifer) of Cordova, TN, Brian Powell of Billings, MT, Zein Powell and Zephie Powell of Bartlett, TN; two brothers Mayo Powell (Rita) of Hot Springs, AR, Ron Powell (Susan) of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Doris Meeks (Guy) of Gilbert, AZ and Anne Hughes (Winston) of Queen Creek, AZ; three grandchildren, MacKenzie Powell, Skye Kindred and Josh Kindred. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Oma Powell and by his sister, Jan Joyner. Mr. Powell was a graduate of Union University and was a business manager for 13 years at Metro Construction Company. He was devoted to his family, his work and his faith. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, and funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, both at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue.
