DONALD R. JONES, JR., 56, passed peacefully Sunday, May 4, after a lengthy illness. Donny was born in Memphis to Donald R. Jones Sr. and the late Gloria Jones. He attended Colonial Baptist Church and worked at WW Granger and Vickers Transportation. He leaves a daughter, Haley Jones; his father, Don Jones Sr.; two brothers, Mike Jones (Dee) of Olive Branch, Steve Jones and Shelly James of Atoka; niece, Angie James (John Wesley) of Olive Branch; nephews, Chris Jones of Memphis and Corey and Kyle Meadors of Olive Branch. In addition, two great nieces; one great nephew; and a close friend, Jo Vickers. Visitation will be at Family Funeral Care on Summer Ave. Wednesday, May 7 from 12 to 2 pm with graveside services to immediately follow in Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Parkway. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or charity of donor’s choice.
