Donald “Don” Charles Ward, 79, of Memphis, TN, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019. He retired from Shaw Material Handling Systems Inc. after 30 plus years of service. Don enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking and spending time with his family. He was quick to laugh and always willing to help anyone in need.

Don was born in Brinkley, Arkansas, son of the late Robert and Norma Ward. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 56 years, Mildred “Millie” Ward; five children, Catherine Lyons (Anthony Guardiani), Lynn Goin, Billy Ward (Elizabeth), Donald Ward, David Ward (Brooke); 13 grandchildren, Amy, Laura, Stephen, Ashley, Stacy, Joseph, Kimberly, Michael, Bradley, Angel, Zachery, Jessica, Hannah; and 20 great grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte Carson of Millington, TN, and Linda Mellington of Wichita, KS.

Please join his family for a memorial service honoring Don’s life on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. Visitation beginning at 1 p.m., and service at 2 p.m. at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, TN. Graveside service will immediately follow at Memory Hill Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN.
