She was survived in life by her sons Chris (Jennifer) and Jeff (Catherine) Gammill along with her two grandchildren Sarah and Rachel Gammill, her sister Dineen Price Hite, and brother Richard (Beverly) Price.
She was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Gammill, parents Frank J. and Edna R. Price, and brother Frank J. Price II.
Donna was born in Christopher, IL in September of 1943, but spent her childhood in a Navy family, exploring the world and living in splendid places like Morocco, Hawaii, and around the U.S. before settling into Memphis after meeting the love of her life, Bill, at Memphis State University in freshman English class. She was the studious one on the front row and he was the rowdy cheerleader who sat in the back, but in life, the combination worked beautifully. Together they ran the family business, Gammill Dental Lab. She was a wonderful mother helping her sons reach for their dreams while encouraging all their cousins and friends as they passed through her busy home on “The Property”. Afterwards, she went on to launch a second career at Youth Villages supporting and mentoring other children in need.
