Elaine Elliott

Elaine Elliott, 94, of Memphis, TN, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 13th, 2016 with her family around her. Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, Morelle Elliott and two sisters, Mary Alyce Roberson and Jenny Tucker. Mrs. Elliott is survived by her children, Charles Elliott (Darlene) of Bernice, LA., Shanti Nancy Elaine Elliott McKinnie of Asheville, NC. and Laurie Babb (Eric) of Lakeland, TN., and two granddaughters, Sara and Lisa Babb. Many special thanks go to her caregivers who became like family to her and who made her last few years so special. Mrs. Elliott was devoted to; her Lord, husband, children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Many enjoyable hours were spent reading and painting. She had a kind and loving spirit and a generous heart. The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, March 19th from 12-2pm with the funeral starting at 2pm at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave. The burial will be on Tuesday, March 22nd at 2pm at Pisgah Cemetery, Bernice, LA 71222. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to; Second Baptist Church (4680 Walnut Grove Rd. Memphis, TN. 38117), or Pisgah Baptist Church of Bernice, LA., or REP Refugee Empowerment Program (1548 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN. 38104).
