Ervin Glenn Blaylock

Ervin Glenn Blaylock, 65, of Memphis, Tennessee died January 16, 2012. Born in Bruce, MS, Mr. Blaylock was raised in Steele, Missouri where he was an outstanding baseball player. He worked for the Furniture Center for 20+ years and Insouth Bank of Millington for 15+ years before retiring. He loved all sports and particularly Ole Miss Football. Mr. Blaylock was a member of Cherry Road Baptist Church of Memphis, TN formerly Eastwood Memorial Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 20 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. and funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 21 all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Poplar Avenue. Mr. Blaylock was preceded in death by his parents Preston and Cora Mae Blaylock and his sister Nancy Scott. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia Ann Blaylock to whom he married on December 9, 1967; his daughter Tracy Blaylock Killebrew (Chad) and their son, Ty Killebrew ; son, Christopher Glenn Blaylock (Sara); brothers Bill Blaylock of Southaven, MS and Randy Blaylock of Grenada, MS.
