Estrellita, known as Lita, to friends and family, was born on January 30,1943 in the Philippines to Graciana Magbata and Remedios de los Santos. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 42 years Richard I. Pero, her youngest son, Richard D.Pero (Shelbe) as well as one grandchild Chancelyn.
Lita was always known to be devoted to her family,and was a completely loving mother to her children.
She will be remembered as a faithful Christian who raised her children to believe in the steadfast companionship of the Lord. She loved randomly singing praises and had no issues sharing her love of the Lord.
She will be remembered as an unwaveringly affectionate mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a constant gift-giver, not only of tangible gifts but of her words of true affection, of words of encouragement, and of affirmations to anyone needing to hear the good of themselves.
Holding in their hearts the cherished memories of Lita are her daughters, Debbie McGlaughlin (Dan), Lita Sue Martinez, son, Carl Allen Galloway, her grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Alissa, Rachel, Adam-Michael, extended grandchildren, Ian, Corgan, Collin, and Aiden. Also among those who will miss her presence, her great-grandchildren, Amaya, Natalie, and Cassie, her loving sister, Carmen, and nieces and nephew, Donna, Carlyn and Nino.
A memorial service for Estrellita will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122.
