

Frances Pearson Jabbour, aged 90, passed contentedly June 29, 2017. She was born in Tiptonville, Tennessee on March 23, 1927, and moved to Memphis, Tn. to pursue a career in nursing. She served as a Registered Nurse at Baptist Memorial Healthcare in Memphis. After the birth of her children, she devoted the majority of her life to them and their future. She reentered nursing later in life and continued to work at Baptist until her retirement. Her strongest spiritual gift was in the healing arts as witnessed by her receipt of the Excellence in Nursing Award in 1997.
During retirement, she was active in numerous organizations including Memories-Four Seasons, Listener’s Book Club, Cotton Wives and Friends, Women’s Exchange, and most enthusiastically The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, serving in numerous positions and volunteering wherever needed.
Frances was predeceased by her parents, Willie and Carl Pearson, sisters Laurice Hearn and Constance Elaine Pearson, and brother Carl “Buddy” Pearson.
She leaves behind her children Gena Jabbour Reuss (Leonard), Charles George “Chuck” Jabbour, both of Memphis and Richard Turner Jabbour (Seagrove, FL.). and her twin sister Helen MacKinnon (Allen Park, MI).
She was blessed with four grandchildren, Carl Eugene Reuss, Leonard George Reuss, IV, William Turner Jabbour and Justin Keating Jabbour who will fovever celebrate the life and love of "Sweet Gran".
Memorial services will be this afternoon, Friday, July 7 at 2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 5599 Poplar Avenue, with visitation beginning at noon.
