Frank Callahan, 79, of Memphis, passed away January 21, 2013. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, and funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, January 24, all at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue. Interment will be in West Memorial Cemetery in Saulsbury, TN, at 2 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Callahan faithfully served in the U.S. Army and was longtime member of the Al Chymia Shrine Temple. An avid U of M Tiger fan, he enjoyed sports of all kinds. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Callahan; his son, Phillip Callahan; his sister, Mary Smith; 2 stepsons, Kenneth Vaughan and Vic Vaughan (Teresa); 8 grandchildren, Hannah and Sarah Callahan, Stacey (Jerry) Cline, Victor (Magdalena) Vaughan, Jesse (Julie) Vaughan, Kevin and Zach Vaughan, and Brittany (Kris) Boswell; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
