Freddie J. Stark, age 78, husband of Janice L. (Reynolds) Stark passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022. Freddie was born April 2, 1944 in Jefferson City MO. Soon after graduating high school, he served in the United States Army, RA Armor Class until June of 1966. He was married March 4, 1967 to Janice L. Reynolds. He was a retiree of Memphis Light, Gas and Water (Customer Service Division) at the Hickory Hill station for 30 plus years. Everyone who knew Freddie knew that he was an avid fisherman, loved country line dancing, spent most of his time in his yard, tending to his flower beds and spending quality time with his family.
Freddie leaves cherished memories with his wife of 55 years, Janice L. (Reynolds) Stark; two sons, Fred A. Stark (Lisa) of Colorado Springs, CO and John Mitchell Stark of Bartlett, TN; two daughters, Suzanne Scott (Jason) of Williston, TN and Jesslyn Neal (Steve) of Moscow, TN; two granddaughters, Lauren Hughes (Cody) and Kinsley Neal; great granddaughter, Lucy Hughes, most recent great grandson, Henry Hughes; and sister, Jesslyn Gail Summitt, along with two nieces and a nephew of Paragould, AR.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Mae Stark Mclain and grandparents, Fred A. Weis and Nellie Mae Weis.
A gathering of family and friends for Freddie will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. A celebration of life service will occur Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM , 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. A committal service will immediately follow Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119.
