Gary Alexander Stevens

Gary Alexander Stevens, 66, of Bartlett, TN, passed away May 8, 2014, after a sudden illness. The family will gather with friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15, and memorial services will follow at 6:00 p.m., at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue. Born and raised in Memphis, Gary served in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, he lived in Costa Mesa, CA for twenty years working as an Engineer with Hughes Helicopter and later with Lockheed Martin. He returned to Memphis in 1990 and worked as a quality control engineer in the medical device industry. In his free time, Gary enjoyed working with his hands, and he was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. Mr. Stevens was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Stevens; and his daughter, Angela Mae Stevens. Gary is survived by his daughter, Mary Jane Stevens; two sons, Alex and Gus Stevens; his mother, Mary Joyce Stevens; his sister, Charlotte Stevens; his brother, Jeff Stevens; and his wife, Nancy Stevens.
