Gene Arthur Pruett, 76, passed away on January 6, 2017 at his home. He was retired from both, the John Morrell Company and Memphis Light, Gas & Water. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed both, hunting and fishing and a enthusiastic fan of Arkansas Razorback football. Mr. Pruett was a member of Munford Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mrs. Faye Pruett, three sons, Michael A. Pruett, Perry F. Pruett and Gene D. Pruett; grandchildren, Wesley A. Pruett and Chase A. Pruett; brother, Forrest (Buddy) Pruett, sister-in-law, Joyce E. Jacoby and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for the sharing of memories, refreshments and fellowship from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, in the chapel of Family Funeral Care with interment to follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN.
