Helen H. Bruner

Helen H. Bruner, of Memphis, TN. went home to be with her Lord on Friday, March 8, 2013. She was born in St. Louis, MO and graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelors Degree in Journalism. She was a member of Delta-Delta-Delta Sorority. Helen was an employee of Memphis Publishing Co. where she met and married her husband, Joe. She later worked for and retired from SunTrust Bank. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church serving in the New Horizons Sunday School Class. Helen is preceded in death by her parents Homer and Margaret Humphrey, her brother Edward “Butch” Humphrey, and her husband Joseph Warner Bruner. She is survived by her daughter Linda Wilkinson (Jim), son Dan Bruner (Laurie), grandson Mike Wilkinson (fiancé Laura Griffith), granddaughter Michelle Fye (Shawn) , great granddaughters Emma and Ella Fye, and grandson Joseph Bruner. Visitation will be Monday, March 11th, from 5-8pm at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel, 5599 Poplar Ave. The funeral Service will be Tuesday, March 12th, at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens.
