Helen Webb Rush

Helen Webb Rush, 98, of Southaven, MS and Finger, TN passed away August 5, 2016 at Henderson Healthcare, where she was a resident. Prior to her failing health, she belonged to a group called Head Huggers in Henderson, and had crocheted over 200 hats for the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She had also helped her husband in the operation of Kelly Krossing Swine Farm in Arkabutla, MS until his retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Aubrey Rush; by two sons, Aubrey Rush Jr. (Buddy) and William Rush (Small Change).

She is survived by two daughters Betty R. Guy of Finger, TN and Becky (Guy) Kennedy of Southaven, MS; daughter-in-law, Pat Rush Davis of Germantown; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She survived 5 generations.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 12 noon until service time; funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m.; all at Getwell Road United Methodist Church, 7875 Getwell Road, Southaven, MS. Interment will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Mrs. Rush may be offered to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
