Helen Lane Thompson, 91, of Memphis, passed away on July 9, 2016. The family will gather to receive friends on Tuesday, July 12, between 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, and interment will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens Cemetery. Helen was a member of Berclair church of Christ, retired from International Paper, and was an avid gardener. Her passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Everette Lee Thompson, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Harbin; two sons, Everette Lee Thompson, Jr. and Larry Thompson; three grandsons, Chris Turner (Misty), Brandon Turner (Audrey), and Jason Turner (Kellie); and six great grandchildren, Alex, Zoe, Ava, Abby, Anna, and Oliver.
