Hugh Allen “Bud” Wilson died January 14, 2011 at the Veterans Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 19 from 1PM – 2PM with funeral services starting at 2PM all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Poplar Avenue. Mr. Wilson was a Navy Veteran was on board the U.S.S. Missouri when the Japanese surrendered to end World War II. Mr. Wilson is survived by his three nieces Deborah Moreno of Las Vegas, NV, Donna Vaughn of Santa Fe, TX, and Mary Auck of Webster, TX; sister Hazel Auck of Texas City, TX; many great nieces and nephews, double first cousins Ray Hester and Dee McIntyre, and his good friend Mark Thornton who helped care for him.
