Iris Cierzniewski

Iris Kitts “Toni” Cierzniewski, 85, passed away on January 20, 2012. She was born in Memphis, TN on March 18, 1926 to the late Willie H.L. Kitts & Dorothy Watson Kitts. Toni was also preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Rhe Kitts Demetriou. She leaves behind her husband of 61 ½ years Gerald F. “Jerry” Cierzniewski, son Paul Edward Cierzniewski (Shari), daughter Linda A. McIlwain “Barry”, step-granddaughter Angela Smith, step-mother Virginia Pund Kitts; brother William H. “Bill” Kitts (Dorothy), five nephews Bud, Charlie, Bill and Ken Demetriou and William Doug Kitts; and four nieces Barbara Kitts Draper, Devra Demetriou Branscome, Leslie Kitts Wilson and Melissa Kitts; all very special and loved by her. The family will receive guests and friends on Monday, January 23 from 5PM – 8PM with Rosary reading beginning at 7:30PM all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens at 5599 Poplar Avenue. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 24 beginning at 10AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 4841 Park Avenue, Memphis, TN 38117.
