Jack D. Strahl, Sr., 92, of Memphis, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015. Mr. Strahl, a WWII Navy Veteran, was a founding member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was retired from MLGW and Memphis City Schools. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Strahl and his brothers, Edwin, Harold, and his twin brother Joe. Mr. Strahl is survived by his son, J. Dan Strahl (Mandy), his daughter, Lisa Tamboli (Pat), his daughter-in-law, Eleanor “Tudie” Strahl, as well as his granddaughter, Erika Layton (Chris) and his great-granddaughter, Gwen Layton. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 11:30-1:30pm with Funeral Mass to follow at 1:30pm, all at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. Memphis. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Memphis.
