Jackie L. Glisson, Memphis, TN, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016. Jackie Glisson was an award-winning Memphis-based interior decorator. He was known for his ability to work in a variety of styles, taking on projects of any size and completing them on time within a range of budgets. Jackie was a winner of the HGTV's Designers' Challenge, a multiple winner at the Vesta Home Show, and has received numerous other honors and accolades. He is preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Anelda Glisson. Jackie is survived by Jay Hester his life long partner of 35 years, his sister, Jan Avery (Jason), his brother Jerry Glisson (Wendy), his nieces Savannah and Meredith Avery, Betsy Barker, Sara PeConge, and one great niece, Hannah Jo Barker. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 4 at Memphis Funeral Home from 9-10:30 a.m. with a service to follow. The family will receive guests for the sharing of stories, refreshments and memories after the service. A special thank you to the Hester Family, especially Elizabeth Young and Gary Taylor.
