James E. Privett, 75, stepped into Heaven on February 18, 2022. He was a life-long resident of Lucy, Tennessee, attended Millington Central High School and William R. Moore technical school. He had just celebrated 53 years of marriage to his high school sweetheart.
He enjoyed fishing, loved history of the Civil War, sitting on his front porch with his cousin talking about Lucy and their ancestors, and especially loved playing his guitar and singing songs he had penned himself.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Elizabeth Privett, and his brother John Privett.
He leaves his wife, Kay; two sons, Kelly Privett (Kristi) of Hardy, Arkansas and Jamie Privett of Millington, Tennessee; grandson, Kieran (Emily) and great grandchildren of Olive Branch.
A private memorial will be held at a later date with burial in the family cemetery, Ward Memorial.
