Brian was born September 26, 1973 in Southaven, Mississippi. He graduated from Southaven High School in 1992. He worked at Airways Electric (now Liberty Electric) for over 20 years and has worked at FedEx since 2017.
Brian enjoyed going to the lake, water skiing and boating; any other type of sports; and the University of Tennessee, Go Vols! He loved basketball, skating and fishing with his Daddy. He loved big and gave 100% to everyone. He was a husband, father, son and brother to be proud of. A Godly man that there is no doubt that Jesus welcomed him into heaven and said "well done my faithful servant"! His favorite sport was whatever sport Lilly or Colton were participating in at the time.
The only immediate family that has preceded Brian in death was his father John T. Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years Tracie; the twins Lilly & Colton Smith; his mom Sandy Smith; sister Cheryl (Billy) Pearce; and his nephews Matt & Cody Pearce.
His children remember their father this way:
From Lilly, "For as long as I can remember dad was on the fluffy side so we had this life jacket that he used to fit into it so he would always say that he was going to fit back into it".
From Colton, "He was willing to work everyday to make my family happy. I could only wish to be half the man he was".
Family and friends will gather on Thursday, May 5th, from one o'clock in the afternoon until funeral services begin at two o'clock all at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. A reception will follow the burial at the funeral home.
