Jane Elizabeth Basinger, of Germantown, Tennessee, died in the early morning hours of July 18th, 2016. Originally of Youngstown, Ohio, Janie was born to James Boila and the late Barbara Nunez. She is a member of Christ United Methodist Church and Co-Chair of the Ali’s Cup Tennis Tournament benefitting the Ali’s Way Foundation. She enjoyed painting, playing tennis (semi-professionally to hear Bill tell it) but more than anything her family, friends and pets were her life. The family cordially invites you to a gathering celebrating her life on Thursday the 21st of July from five o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. Along with her mother Janie was preceded in death by her step-father Manuel Nunez. Mrs. Basinger is survived by her husband of 24 years William Taylor “Bill” Basinger; children Betsy Basinger Pruett of Horn Lake, Mississippi, Tammie Basinger of Cordova, Tennessee, William Taylor Basinger, II of Austin, Texas, Heather Basinger of Memphis and Alexa Basinger of Germantown; father James Boila of Germantown; granddaughter Elizabeth Paige Dougher of Olive Branch, Mississippi; and two brothers William & David Boila. The family suggests contributions in lieu of flowers be offered to the Ronald McDonald House of Memphis, 535 Alabama Avenue, Memphis, TN 38105.
