Jan loved to travel! She loved cruises, going to the casinos, and cheering for her beloved Memphis Tigers football and basketball teams. She loved puzzles, bingo, and dominoes with friends. She enjoyed making jewelry to sell at local crafts fairs. Jan stayed busy following the athletic endeavors of her great nephews and great nieces. She was an active member of Kirby Woods Baptist Deaf Church.
Jan passed away peacefully August 5, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents. Jan leaves her brother, Mike Richmond (Debbie); nieces, Shelley Arthur (Coors) and Scotti Anglin (Chad); three great-nephews, Will, Charlie, and Wright Arthur; two great-nieces, Cate and Caroline Anglin; aunt, Wanda Fee (Charles); and many cousins. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Jan will be buried in Eads Cemetery on Thursday, August 12 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, August 11 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, at Memphis Funeral Home - Poplar Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jan’s honor to Kirby Woods Baptist Deaf Church, 6325 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119, Re: Memorial Fund.
