Jean Sutton Belser

Ima Jean Sutton Belser was received into the loving arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ on November 6, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN. Jean was born in Lilburn, MO, October 30, 1928 to Samuel and Mary Cleora Sutton. She graduated from Sikeston High School in 1946 and after working there she moved to Memphis working at GE, Pillsbury and finally at General Mills where she was the Regional Corporate Executive secretary. She retired after many successful years there. In retirement, she greatly enjoyed genealogical research, volunteering her time and energy toward helping others, making friends throughout the area and country. She also loved travelling, gardening, sewing and was a faithful member of Cherokee Baptist Church. She was a very loving, caring and generous person. She is survived by her only son, two sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and many cherished friends. She will be greatly missed by all. Visitation times will be Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 1pm - 3pm and Monday, November 13, 2017 beginning at 9am till Funeral Service Time at 10am all at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave. Interment will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens at 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd., Memphis, TN.
