I’m going to continue to write what I said at momma’s funeral 3-19-2022! 
When we were little we didn’t have the best clothes or shoes but you & dad made the best of it & did what you could do even when money was tight! We always looked up to you & dad and we still do! Life will be very hard & difficult without you here on earth with us but we know you will always be with us in spirit! Time slips by & life goes on, but from my heart you’re never gone… I think about you always, I talk about you too, I have so many memories, but I wish I still had you! 
This was my speech I said at mom’s funeral! 
Below is a poem I didn’t say at moms funeral but I wanted to, just couldn’t get the words out! 
Here’s a poem I want to read by John F. Conner; just because you cannot see me, does not mean I am not there, just because I am in heaven, does not mean I do not care! I often see you crying, you often say my name, I want to ease your pain! It’s easy for me, for I know heaven is real, if you knew the truth, how much better would you feel! One day we will meet again, but only when the time is right when you step out of the darkness, I will be standing in the light waiting on you! I’m not a motherless daughter, I’m a daughter to an amazing mom with wings in heaven! One of the hardest things that has been required of me was the day I had let go as the angels carried you up to heaven! Never forgotten; you’ll never be forgotten that simply cannot be! As long as I’m living, I’ll carry you with me, safely tucked within my heart, your light will always shine; a glowing amber never still, throughout the end of the time! No matter what the future brings, or what may lie ahead, I know that you will walk with me along the path I tread! So rest my angel, be at peace! And let your soul fly free, one day I’ll join your glorious flight, for all eternity! Now I know why you always told me to be strong… because you knew, I would need the strength to bear your loss!

Mom, I love you & I miss you! I wished I could tell you how much you mean to me in person again & tell you Thank you for always being there for me & my family! You mean the world to us all! They say you don’t know what you have till it’s gone & they are so right! I miss being able to call or message you! I didn’t think you’d be gone so fast! I hoped you’d live forever! This has been the hardest time ever for all of us! I thank you for all of the memories you left us with! You were the true meaning of a great mother, always there when we needed you even if it was just to talk! I always enjoyed being around you no matter how short or long that was! Let’s get to the memories; going to the Memphis Zoo or going to the Memphis botanical gardens or going to the Delta fair or going to the park! The kids loved when you’d eat lunch with them at school or going on a field trip or being at field day with them like you did with me and Carolyn when we were kids too! We will miss spending time with you especially around our birthdays and holidays but really everyday! The say times heals and I hope it does but right now I don’t see that happening! I pray that God will lead us & show us the way & be with us all in this difficult time! I remember you walking me and Carolyn up to Raleigh skateland just for us to skate, that was a long walk but you did that for us girls to skate! I remember all the Sunday’s you too me & Carolyn to skate with our friends at Raleigh skateland or summer skateland ! Those memories will be forever there with me! I always enjoyed cooking Thanksgiving & Christmas dinner for everyone! I remember us all going to Patties 1880’s and looking at the Christmas lights together! So glad now we took lots of pictures because pictures & memories are all that we have left now! I will always be thankful of the mother you were! 

Jennie was my sister-in-law for 42 1/2 years. I miss her smile, soft spoken voice, and what a wonderful woman she was! Jessica Hatch

I had the best memories growing up as a child with my friends Kristen and Carolyn. My grandmother lived just 2 houses down from them and always has as far as i could remember. Jennie would take us to the botanical gardens, zoo, The pink palace and the craft fairs. Their mom was so loving. She was an animal lover especially cats. She would always let me tag along to anywhere they were going. She would make bows and jewelry and would always let me pick out something I liked out of it all. She was so crafty. She never raised her voice. She home schooled her kids and would always let me go with them to the library she always made books seem pretty cool that’s back when you could rent VHS tapes ha. She would later in life come to my baby showers, my baby sisters wedding and we all kept up with each other on face book. We would still atleast see each other on the  most memorable dates. Kristen and Carolyn, your family will always have a specials place in my heart 💜 Yall were a huge part of my childhood and I love you guys. As we grow older it seems we are watching more and more of our loved one pass from this life to the next. But that’s exactly what it is. It’s not Bye it’s I’ll see you again soon. To be absent from the Body is to    be  Present with The Lord. Love you guys.

One of the many acts of kindness that Sis showed me during our growing up years: Jennie as a teenager always had a job.  She started out working at JB Hunter department store in Frayser. So impressed by the things that she was able to buy with this new found wealth, I  decided to try my hand at it. I landed a job throwing the Memphis Press Scimitar evening paper.  I thought it would be a breeze throwing it from my Honda CL 70 motorcycle. I never could get the hang of working the throttle  and throwing the papers so I ended up walking the route in the hot Memphis Sun. So proud was I for making the little over 20 dollars for my first month's work that I carried the cash in my pocket while walking around the Raleigh springs mall. This was the night before we as a family were going to Daytona beach on vacation and I had great plans for the money. When I got home,  I realized that I had lost all of the money  and Sis heard me crying about it. The next morning she presented me with a 20 dollar bill. For this train wrecked 14 year boy, it was  a lasting memory of a big sister's love. I love you Sis!

She blessed everyone that she came in contact with here.  I'll forever replay the conversations, laughs, & cries we shared.  There's now a missing piece of the Home Depot puzzle.................... GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN!!!!
