John K. Adams, age 58 of Memphis, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013. He was born August 2, 1954 in Kosciusko, Mississippi to the late Herbert Leon Adams, and Annie Bell Millwood Adams. Mr. Adams was a veteran of the US Army. Later he retired as a diesel mechanic and truck driver, and was a member of Lindenwood Christian Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Freddy Adams, and one sister, Linda Hayes. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Terri; one son, Brian Adams; one daughter, Bridgette Winko; 3 Grandchildren, Rabecca, Brandon, and Brady Winko; 3 sisters, Joyce (Dennie) Williams, Patsy (John) Barnett, and Brenda Russell; one brother, Tommy Adams, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue, Tuesday, May 7 from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be 10 AM Wednesday, May 8 at Family Funeral Care. A reception at the funeral home will follow the service. Interment will be 1 PM Wednesday at West Tennessee Veterans’ Cemetery.
