John Ernest Budlong, Sr. "Preacher", 93, was called to his Heavenly home on Thursday, February 1, 2018. John served in the Navy and was the Pastor of Mullins Station Baptist Church for 30 years. He and his wife, Georgie, loved ministering to others and spent 10 years serving as Missionaries for the Home Mission Board. John was a witty, compassionate, caring man. He loved to fish and was quite the 'catch'. John devoted his life to the Lord, his family and friends, and serving others. The legacy he left was the love he showed to others, which was truly the perfect example of Christ's love. His family is comforted by the fact that on February 1st, he heard the words he has been longing to hear, "Well Done, my good and faithful servant."
A Visitation will be held Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 2-4pm. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, February 5, 2018 at 10am at Family Funeral Care 4925 Summer Ave. Memphis, TN 38122.
