Joyce Taylor Farrish

JOYCE TAYLOR FARRISH, 83, of Germantown, TN, passed away peacefully in her home at The Gardens of Germantown on July 26, 2013. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Robert Farrish, her younger brother, Robert Taylor, Jr. and her parents, Robert and Lillian Taylor. Joyce was a devoted wife and mother, and leaves her family with cherished memories, and fond remembrances of family time together with much laughter. She was very active in her church and many civic organizations both as a member and officer, loved music of most any kind, dancing, and any social time with friends and family. Always a leader, and strong in her faith, Joyce would want everyone to celebrate her life and know that she is now reunited with her husband, parents, brother and free from disease. Joyce is survived by her sister, Patricia Newman of Jackson, Mississippi, and her children, Mike and Angie Farrish and Rick and Pam Leet, her grandchildren Dominic Cianciolo, Paige and Tim Hudson, Kyle and Justin Clemmons, Nicole Leet, Justin Farrish and Christopher Farrish, and her great-grandchildren, Hunter and Sam Hudson and Avery Clemmons. Visitation will be held at Kirby Woods Baptist Church on Sunday, July 28, 2013, from 1:30 until 3 p.m., with services to follow in the sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association of Memphis, The Make A Wish Foundation of the Mid South ®, Kirby Woods Baptist Church, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
