

Joyce Ann Campbell Perkins, age 89, of Germantown, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord, Thursday May 29th, 2025. She was born January 11, 1936, in Sharon, Tennessee to Guy and Bernice Campbell, and was the youngest of eight children. After graduating from high school, Joyce moved to Memphis and began a distinguished career in banking which spanned 42 years.
She was married to Charlie Boyd Perkins for 52 years until his death in 2008. She lived a full life and her love for family and church was obvious in the way she lived her life. Joyce will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her selfless devotion to family especially to her brothers and sisters and the countless lives she enriched.
Joyce was preceded in death by her brothers, Gerald Campbell, Dale Campbell, Robert Campbell, and her sisters, Ruth Smith, and Jean Mathis. Left behind to cherish her memory are her sisters, Mary Wright of Jackson, Tennessee, Norma Jackson of Memphis, Tennessee; nieces, Janice Barnes (Larry) of Jackson, Tennessee, Pamela Bell (Johnnie) of Millington, Tennessee, Phyllis Holt of Trinity, Alabama, Jane Crenshaw (Ken) of Collierville, Tennessee, Melanie Kendall (Doug) of Rossville, Tennessee, Kathy Stancil (Dan) of Raleigh, NC; nephews, Harold Barnes (Carol) of Lansing, Michigan, Gary Campbell (Candy) of St. Charles, Missouri, Keith Wright of Jackson, Tennessee, Eddie Mathis (Scarlatt) of Hartselle, Alabama, and David Smith (Andrea) of Martin, Tennessee. She also left a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews. Joyce is also survived by many close friends including Pat Ashe, Linda Crawford, and a special friend, Jack Bolton.
Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 3 at Covenant Baptist Church 3170 S Houston Levee Rd, Collierville, TN. Services will follow at 2:00pm. Interment will be at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd, Memphis, TN.
