June Rose Smith Crocker

She was born June 15th in Shreveport, LA to the late, Frank and Mary Bondy of Smackover, Arkansas.

June was a graduate of Smackover High School. She retired from Schering Plough and started her own construction company before retiring.

She was a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church, in Memphis, Tennessee and Longview Baptist Church in Olive Branch, Mississippi.

She married Elbert Lee Smith, Jr and had two sons and a daughter, Jerry Frank, Alan Ray and Mary Lisa.

She loved each of her children dearly and raised them to the best of her abilities, never missing a game, a performance, or special occasion.

She married George Crocker later in her life. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Elbert Lee Smith, Jr, and sister, Juantia Finney; and is survived by her children, Jerry Smith (Elaine) of WallKill, NY, Alan Smith (Cindy) of Fairfield, ME and Mary Lisa Bowers (Bill) of Southaven, MS; her grandchildren, who meant the world to her, Amy Smith, Justin Smith, Alan Smith, Jr, (AJ), Miranda Barnes and Nick Bowers. Two Great Grandchildren, Chase and Abby. And another great grandchild on the way.

The family is grateful for the care and friendship of Dana Smith and Alan Reese as well as the friends who provided love and support to June.

The family will receive friends and from 5- 8pm Friday October 6. Services will be held Saturday October 7, at 10am at 5599 Poplar Avenue with food and fellowship to follow in the Life Remembrance Center 11am until 2pm. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.memphisfuneralhome.com
