Kathryn “Kathy” Parker, 88, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019. She loved reading, working crossword puzzles, flowers and plants. Kathy adored her two grandsons. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Michael Matthews and Timothy Matthews; parents, William Murray and Hattie Inez Downen; and all of her brothers and sisters. Her survivors include her two grandsons, Nicholas and Zachary Matthews; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to Quince Nursing and Rehab as well as Crossroads Hospice for the care they gave her. Family and friends will gather on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. from 9 am with funeral service starting at 10 am. Burial will follow in Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens at 3700 N. Germantown Rd.
