Kenneth Neil Jackson

Kenneth Neil Jackson, 41 of Cordova TN died Sunday, June 15th in his sleep. Kenny was born on July 24, 1972 in Bowling Green, Ky. He graduated from Bishop Byrne High School and the University of Memphis with a degree in Engineering.

Kenny was employed in the food and beverage industry at AS Barbaro for 23 years, where he most recently served as IT Manager/Category Manager. One of his passions was cooking. He was a member of the “High Life on the Hog” BBQ team which won the rib competition in the 2013 Memphis in May BBQ Championship.

Kenny is survived by his parents Gerald and Bridget Jackson of Olive Branch, MS. He is also survived by his siblings: Pat (Rhonda) Jackson of Huntsville, AL, Mike (Julie) Jackson of Eads, TN, Mary Ann Jackson Barkley of Germantown, TN and Donny Jackson of Cordova, TN. Kenny was a loving uncle to his nephews Jacob Barkley and Chris Jackson and his nieces Ashleigh Jackson and Katie Barkley.

Kenny leaves behind many close friends. He touched many lives and will be missed dearly.

His family will receive guests and friends for sharing and refreshments on Thursday, June 19 from 5PM – 8PM with a Rosary Prayer beginning at 7PM all at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 20 at St. Louis Catholic Church, 203 S. White Station Road, Memphis, TN 38117. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119.

Memorials may be made to Make-A-Wish Mid-South or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
