Kristen Ames Melton

Kristen Ames Melton passed away in her Germantown home on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Born in Landstuhl, Germany on March 25, 1970, she lived in Germany, California, Boston, and Memphis. Kristen was a graduate of Germantown High School and the University of Alabama where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. Mrs. Melton was an active advocate for children and served as President and board member of the Riverdale PTA, board member of the Houston High PTA, and was an active member and coordinator of the Germantown Festival for the Germantown Womens' Club. Kristen's memory will be cherished by her loving and dedicated husband of 21 years, Rick; her beautiful and precious daughters, Hannah and Sarah Cate; her mother, Barbara Ames Greebon (Randy); her father, Orrin K. Ames (Donna); her brother, Jeff Ames; and a host of loving family and dear friends. A reception and period of Gathering and Reflection will be held on Friday, October 7, between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., in the Life Remembrance Center of Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue. The Celebration of Kristen's amazing life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, in the Life Remembrance Center of Memphis Funeral Home.
