January 25, 1959 – December 31, 2020
Larry James Grissom, 61, suffered a stroke and left this life way too soon, stepping into heaven where a place had been prepared for him since he accepted Jesus as his Savior many years ago.
If you knew Larry, you were his friend because he never met a stranger. He loved life and the people in it. Larry was the kind of person you didn’t forget, and at the very thought of him you might either smile or just shake your head. He would go out of his way to help anyone. His life was simple, but impactful and far-reaching. He loved to gather with friends and family at any time and for any reason, and it could be guaranteed that laughter would be involved.
Larry’s passing leaves a huge hole in the lives of many, including sisters Pat Jameson (Steve) and Lorrie Brewington (Scott), nephews Brad Jameson (Lindsay) and Andy Jameson (Katie), best friends Pam and Greg Stidham and JoAnn Schappach.
Larry was predeceased by his parents, L.C. and Fay Grissom, sister Sue Ellen Grissom, grandparents Curtis and Corene Grissom and O.B. and Esther Smith, and many aunts and uncles who were special to him.
A graveside service will be in the next few weeks. The family welcomes anyone who would like to gather with Larry one last time.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice in Larry’s memory. He would like that.
