Lou Elizabeth Carson

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John T. Carson; sisters Katherine Pleasants and Carolyn Black; brother James Wesley Goodman; and great-granddaughter Whitney Anderson. She is survived by her children Rebecca Lou Wilson (Tommy), Robert Michael O’Bannon, and Richard Lon O’Bannon; her sister Eva Payne; and her ten grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

She was a loving, compassionate woman who strived to follow the teaching of her Lord, Jesus, and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 1-2 pm with funeral service to follow at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave., 38119. Immediately following the service interment will take place across the street at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., 38119.
