

Lowell Nelson Pate, 81, battled Parkinson’s disease for the past 24 years. He fought a hard battle and now he has gone home to be with his Lord. “Nelson” passed away at home in Plough Towers with his loving wife and family by his side. He loved his Lord and family with all of his heart and was a member of the Park Avenue Church of Christ. His family will receive guests and friends on Tuesday, June 12 from 5PM – 8PM and funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 13 beginning at 2PM all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens at 5599 Poplar Avenue. Burial will follow in Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens Cemetery (formerly Memory Hill Gardens) at 3700 N. Germantown Road. Mr. Pate was preceded in death by his parents Matthew & Bernice Pate, and grandson Hunter Lane Pate. He is survived by his dedicated wife of 47 years, Ann Pate; children Diane Pate of Germantown, TN, Peggy Jane Pannell (Dean) and Alesia Porter (Randy) all of Lakeland, TN, and Jimmy Pate (Liz) of Pulaski, TN; his grandchildren Brian Pannell (Jessie) and Amber McCord (Justin) all of Medford, OR, Glenn Pate (Heike) of Savanna, GA, Brandi Pate of Los Angeles, CA, Austin and Casey Pate of Pulaski, Brandon and Shelby Porter of Lakeland, Dena Boscaccy (Patrick) of Lakeland, Nichole Martin (Michael) of Huntsville, AL; twelve great-grandchildren; and two sisters Mary Warren and Janice Pace both of Memphis.
