Luke E. Mooney, Sr. 54, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2011. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Mr. Mooney was preceded in death by his parents, Lorene and Manuel Mooney and his sister, Edna “Eddye” McMahon and is survived by his two sons, Luke E. Mooney, Jr. of Atoka and Joe D. Mooney of Memphis, TN; sisters, Linda Vance of Maumelle, AR and Laura Walker of Memphis; brother, Warren Mooney of Millington and brother in law, John McMahon of Oakland; and one grandson, Ethan. The family will receive friends this evening, Monday, November 14 at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 15 at 10 a.m. with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Memorial gifts may be made to either Bellevue Baptist Church, American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
