Margie Elizabeth Ricks Brittain, 94, formerly of Germantown, died Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in Springdale, AR. The family will receive friends Friday, May 6, 2011 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens – Poplar Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at Memphis Funeral Home on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Brittain was a homemaker who held membership at Faith Presbyterian Church in Memphis. She was married 67 years to the late, James E. “Jim” Brittain. She is survived by her daughter, Julia B. Ervin and her husband, J.H. of Springdale, Arkansas; two grandsons, Jeffrey Hunter Ervin and his wife Corine of Austin, TX; and Jack Richardson Ervin and his wife, Emily of Fayetteville, AR; three great-grandchildren, Lucy Brittain Ervin, Zoe Pearl Ervin and Hudson Malone Ervin; and her sister-in-law, Ruth McKinney Ricks of Helen, AL. She is preceded in death by Elsie Ricks, Tully Ricks, Thomas Ricks, Mary McClendon, William Ricks, and Robert Ricks.
