Born in Memphis on July 30, 1938, Marion was the daughter of the late George Wever and Mary Evans Sipe. She graduated from Treadwell High School, went to college and worked for a period of time as a nurse and finally retired from University of Tennessee from the neurosurgery department.
She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and Beta Sigma Phi.
Along with her parents Marion was preceded in death by her daughter Suzanne McLemore, and her brother Gene Wever.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son Larry (Brenda) Johnson of Bartlett, Tennessee; and two nieces & a nephew.
Family and friends will gather on Thursday, July 8 beginning at six o'clock until eight o'clock in the evening at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee, 38119. Family and friends will meet at Memphis Funeral Home Friday, July 9th at nine o'clock in the morning to be escorted to Memorial Park for a graveside service.
