
Marion Campbell Channell Mosby, 99, of Collierville, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012. Marion was born September 2, 1912 at Gayosa Farms in Desoto County, MS to Dan and Elizabeth Campbell. She was the oldest of five children. Her four younger brothers, Ned, Macon, Nick and Billy affectionately called her “Tear”. The family moved to Raines Station (Whitehaven) where she graduated from Whitehaven High School. Marion had a great love of music and animals. She was a member of Whitehaven United Methodist Church. Marion was preceded in death by her four brothers; husbands, Clint Channell and Lacey Mosby; and two of her children, Norma Lee and Jerry Channell (Joan). She is survived by one son, Tommy Channell (Cindy); stepsons, Marlin and Michael Mosby; grandchildren, Dixie Taylor, Michele Channell, Jennifer Bickerstaff and Clint Channell; four great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 12 noon, Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 5599 Poplar Ave. with a short visitation time beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Edmondson Cemetery in Southaven, MS.
