Melissa Gail Moore, 56 passed away on August 6, 2016, after a long hard fought illness. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Helen Wheeler. Gail is survived by her husband of 36 years, Fred; her son Jason Oates; and her two brothers, Wesley (Kim) Wheeler and Barry Wheeler. Gail was also a Godmother to many and she will leave a legacy on the hearts of numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, August 9, 2016 from 5-8 p.m., with a Rosary beginning at 5 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel. A memorial service for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue. Interment will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh LaGrange, Memphis. The family request in lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Gail may be offered to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
