Minnie Lee Mitchell

Minnie Lee Mitchell, 103, passed away January 19, 2024. She was a devoted member of Leawood Baptist Church on Macon. Mrs. Mitchell enjoyed cooking and doing crochet. She and her husband, Hugh loved getting together with their Leawood Church friends on Saturday night to play Uno. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Mitchell; parents, Lee Jackson Garrison and Prudie Ford Garrison; two sisters, Totsie Hillhouse and Lilar Brown Lee, and four brothers, Roscoe Garrison, Joe Garrison, Darrell Garrison and Wayne Garrison.

She is survived by three sons, Larry Mitchell, Norman Mitchell (Linda) and Mike Mitchell; grandchildren, Mitch Mitchell, Laurie Humphreys (John), Shannon Wille (Brian) and Ashley McDonough (Benton); great-grandchildren, John Warren Britt, Jinni Britt, Annagrace Britt, Emerson Wille, Charlotte Wille, Campbell Wille, Lucy McDonough and Lily McDonough.

The family will receive friends on Friday January 26, 2024 beginning at 12:30 pm at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Road, Bartlett.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Mrs. Mitchell may be offered to Leawood Baptist Church, 3638 Macon Road, Memphis, Tennessee.
