Nedra Kaye Hardy

Nedra was born on October 22, 1948 in Memphis, TN to Melvin and Earline McCollough. She grew up in Memphis, TN and graduated from Kingsbury High School. On July 31, 1970, she married Donald Lee Hardy, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter.

Nedra worked for a couple of years at FedEx in the 80s, and worked at the Chamber of Commerce in Plainfield, IN in the 90s for 1 – 2 years. The years she did not work, she had many adventures with her family traveling the world, she lived in Sydney, Australia for 2 years, was an active participant in the discipleship walk program at Raleigh Assembly of God and at Lakeview Assembly in Indianapolis, IN, organized baking and delivery of thousands of cookies to prisoners as a part of the Kairos prison ministry, and participated in the Red Hat Society. Nedra was a devoted wife to her husband Don, an amazing mother to her son Lee and a proud grandmother to her grandsons Matthew Hardy and Jacob Hardy. Her family was the center of her world.

Nedra is survived by her husband Don, son Lee, Daughter-in-Law Iris, and grandchildren (Jacob and Matthew).

A visitation for Nedra will be held Monday, August 5, 2024 from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119. A celebration of Nedra's life will occur Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM, also at Memphis Funeral Home. Graveside committal service will immediately follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to caregivers at Hearthside Senior Living for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time.

Nedra touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, knowing she was loved deeply and will be remembered forever.
