

Mr. Prine is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia McKnatt Prine; daughters, Valerie Taylor, Elaine Lowe (Rob), Melanie Castillo (Alfredo); five grandchildren, Zacher Snyder, Brittney Feagin (Kolin), Matthew lambert, Isabella Castillo, Christian Castillo; two great grandchildren, Maddox Feagin, Beckham Feagin; sister, Beverly Prine and a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, M.C. Prine and Doris Chambers Prine and his brother, Mike Prine (Rosemary) of Bartlett, Tennessee.
Mr. Prine enjoyed strumming and teaching himself how to play guitar. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing yatzee (Richard style) with different family members and loved watching sporting events rooting for his favorite teams, Memphis Tigers and Tennessee Volunteers.
The family extends their gratitude to his Gentiva Hospice caretakers, Phillip, Shonta, Marion, Simone, Christine and Dwayne for their compassionate and dedicated care during his battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday, December 28, 2024 beginning at 1 PM. A celebration of life will follow at 2PM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38122.
