Richard was born in Jackson, Mississippi on September 21, 1964. He was a passionate Ole Miss fan, where he attended college earning his undergraduate and graduate degrees in 1986 and 1987, respectively. He went on to earn his CPA license in 1989. After graduation, Richard had his two children Mason and Ross and moved to Memphis, Tennessee. There he began his career in Public Accounting, and transitioned to Financial Advising where he could follow one of his passions, serving others.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, Richard was heavily involved in various ministries at Hope Church through the Prison Ministry, Wednesday Night Club, Thursday Men’s Breakfast, and various other community initiatives. He also led a Career Transition group where he helped guide members of the community that were in between jobs. Above all else, Richard held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those around him.
Richard is survived by his two sons, Mason (Lele) and Ross (Amber) and will be remembered for being a great dad, a constant servant leader, his contagious laugh, and his hardworking nature.
