Robert Ely Ethridge, Sr., 69, of Memphis, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at his home. Mr. Ethridge was a graduate of Mississippi State University and was retired from the Memphis Police Department. He was a member of the Order of the Arrow and the Fraternal Order of Police and was an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Ethridge was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Margaret Ethridge. He is survived by his son, Rob Ethridge (Donna) of Bartlett, TN, his daughters, Christine Ethridge (Matt Otten), of Las Vegas, NV, and Dina Ethridge Jackson (Mark), of Wellston, OK. He also leaves eight grandchildren, Tristan, Tavin, Ashley, Randy, Kayla, Skylar, Kylee, and Ella, and one great-grandson, Jaxon. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 12pm until the memorial service begins at 1pm, all at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. Memphis.
