Robert J. Franceschini Sr.

Robert J. Franceschini, Sr., 87, died November 16, 2012. He was a native Memphian and co-owner of a family grocery business, a member of the Retail Grocers Association and UNICO. He was a member of the Church of the Incarnation where he started a Bible study group. He also had been very active in parish life at St. Thomas and St. Paul Catholic churches. He was a 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Franceschini is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Franceschini; his children, Patricia Morrill (Hal) of Jefferson City, TN, Robert J. Franceschini, Jr. of Collierville, Donna Slade (Whitney) of Germantown and David Franceschini (Angie) of Arlington, TN; his brother, Louis Franceschini, Jr. and family of Memphis; grandchildren, Allison Russell, Andrea Turner, Meredith Stashick, Amanda Slade, and Daniel and Joseph Franceschini, and great-grandchildren, Makayla Turner and Caroline Russell. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, at Church of the Incarnation in Collierville with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
